Customer Feedback

Trusted by Homeowners & Businesses

We had 8 cameras installed around our property and you cannot see a single wire. The team fished every cable through finished walls without touching our crown molding. Our insurance company gave us a discount the same month.

Michael & Sarah T.

Greenwich, CT · Security Camera Installation

We called on a Wednesday and they were at our door Friday morning for the consultation. Two weeks later, six 4K cameras and a full NVR system were running. The person detection actually works — no more alerts for every squirrel in the yard.

Patricia G.

Darien, CT · Security Camera Installation

I run a small restaurant and needed cameras covering the kitchen, entrance, and parking lot. They designed the layout so every angle is covered — I can pull up any camera on my phone during off-hours. Installation was done in one day without disrupting business.

Built for Connecticut

Security Camera Installation Built for Connecticut Properties

Connecticut homes and commercial properties can require different camera placement, exterior mounting and cabling approaches depending on the building, weather exposure and existing network infrastructure. Rolo Electronics designs each installation around the property rather than using a fixed package.

  • Weather-exposed mounting

Exterior positions are specified with weatherproof, IP-rated cameras and outdoor-rated cable suited to New England conditions.

  • Concealed cable routing

In finished homes we route cable through attics, crawlspaces and wall chases rather than surface-mounting conduit.

  • Coverage over camera count

Placement is planned around entries, driveways and blind spots so a smaller, well-positioned system can outperform a larger one.

  • Network built for the system

Cat6A runs, PoE switching and a dedicated VLAN keep camera traffic reliable and separated from everyday use.

Common Questions

Security Camera Installation FAQs

Don't see your question? Call (914) 258-9339 and we'll answer it directly.

How much does security camera installation cost?

The cost depends on the number and type of cameras, property size, cable routes, recording equipment and network requirements. We provide an estimate based on the specific property and system. Contact us for a free estimate.

Do security cameras require a monthly fee?

Not necessarily. Many professionally installed systems can use local NVR recording without requiring cloud storage. Some optional cloud, monitoring or third-party services may have recurring fees.

Can I view my security cameras from my phone?

Yes. Most modern systems we install support remote viewing from compatible mobile apps once the system has been configured.

Do you install security cameras for businesses?

Yes. We design and install camera systems for both residential and commercial properties, including offices, retail stores, warehouses and restaurants.

Can you install the network cabling for the cameras?

Yes. Depending on the project, we can integrate the network and structured cabling required for IP camera systems, including Cat6A runs, PoE switches and a dedicated VLAN for the security network.

What areas of Connecticut do you service?

We serve Fairfield County, Connecticut — including Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Old Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Westport, Fairfield, Weston and Bridgeport. We also serve selected areas of Westchester County, NY.

Do I need a permit for security cameras in Connecticut?

In Connecticut, residential security cameras on your own property generally do not require a permit. However, if your system connects to police dispatch through a monitored alarm, some municipalities require an alarm permit. We advise on local requirements during your consultation.

How do you handle camera wiring in a finished home?

Concealed cabling in finished homes is a core part of our work. We use fish tapes, flex drill bits and attic or crawlspace access to run cable out of sight rather than surface-mounting conduit. We show you the planned cable path before any work starts.

How much recording storage will I need?

It depends on camera count, resolution and whether you record continuously or on motion. As a general guide, a 4–8 camera 4K system recording on motion is commonly specified around 4TB, and 8–16 cameras around 8TB, for a similar retention window. We size the storage for your system during the estimate so the NVR is specced correctly from day one.
